Water Testing Facilities
Laboratory has facilities to test water as per methods specified by Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) for Drinking Water IS:10500(2012 with amendments), Packaged Natural Mineral water IS 13428(2005);Packaged Drinking Water IS 14543 (2004); Guidelines for the quality of Irrigation water IS : 11614(1986); Treated waste water characteristics as stipulated by Karnataka State Pollution Control Board(KSPCB) for Fertilizer Industry, Petroleum Refinery, Pharmaceutical Industry, Tannery Industry, Textile Industry, Electroplating Industry, Vehicle Service wastewater etc.;Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Waste Water, 23rd edition, American Public Health Association(APHA).

Microbiology

Microbiological testing
Our Water-testing methods also include testing water for Biological Organisms as specified in IS: 10500. Microbiological Laboratory facilities, which has been established for testing Drinking water; conforming to IS: 10500 standard with special focus on pathogenic organism, Industrial cooling water for Total Viable counts (TVC), Sulphur Reducing Bacteria (SRB), Nitrifying Bacteria, Iron Bacteria, etc. for selecting appropriate biocides and treated waste water for proper disinfection before recommending for irrigation use, discharging into stipulated source or for re use.

Soil Testing

As a gesture to our local farmers, our Laboratory will provide Soil Testing facilities for testing Macro- and micro-nutrient levels of soil which shall help them to supplement the required quantity of nutrients for a particular crop. Our Laboratory is also planning to establish tests to ascertain the nutritional value of specific vegetables, fruits, food articles to promote nutritional value-based farming.

Our Laboratory is fully equipped to evaluate the efficacy of Anti-scaling dispersants, corrosion-inhibitors, Coagulants, Flocculants and we can suggest optimised chemical dosages for treating the water to meet the quality required, conforming to relevant standards-requirements stipulated by the governing bodies and service-users. Testing facilities include Jar Testing, too.
